For students, engineers, technicians, and hobbyists, this practical text provides the answers you need to design modern control systems quickly and easily. New design approaches using microcontrollers and DSP are emerging, and designers must understand these new approaches, the tools available, and how best to apply them. This practical text covers the latest techniques in microcontroller-based control system design, making use of the popular MSP430 microcontroller from Texas Instruments. The book covers all the circuits of the system, including:· Sensors and their output signals· Design and application of signal conditioning circuits· A-to-D and D-to-A circuit design· Operation and application of the powerful and popular TI MSP430 microcontroller· Data transmission circuits· System power control circuitryWritten by an experienced microcontroller engineer and textbook author, the book is lavishly illustrated and includes numerous specific circuit design examples, including a fully tested and documented hands-on project using the MSP430 that makes use of the principles described. Today’s control system designers face an ever-increasing “need for speed and accuracy in their system measurements and computations.
It requires commitment that takes time to develop, yet is open to everyone.I do not agree with Nisker on every detail (it would be unusual if I did). I really dont know where to startmost books start off with a doldrum or a yawn. It also does not require exact literal belief and is thus quite open to science. (Here I place the 4 star rather than 5 because I wish all of the pictures had been larger.) The next section consists of romantic, sometimes impressionistic landscape photographs (5.5x6.5) of the great glen of Skjolden, Norway by Guy Moreton, a place where Wittgenstein walked and "did philosophy." The last section is a good poem by Alec Finlay called "The Wittgenstein house (Skjolden)."It's a well constructed book about 8.5x11 with a thick cover and very heavy pages glued to the spine, but it seems sturdy enough for years of enjoyment.. He would be in the thick of the infamous "Tet Offensive," discussing how as a private he was unofficially appointed as an advisor to the South Vietnamese Re
